Bruno Ernande

Dr. Bruno Ernande serves as a senior research scientist and Science Directorate member at IFREMER (Boulogne-sur-Mer, France). Dr. Ernande’s research interests include evolutionary ecology, life history and trophic ecology of marine fish and molluscs, fisheries-induced evolution, fish habitats, marine community ecology, aquaculture and fisheries. Most of his research combines both empirical and modelling approaches in the fields of population and quantitative genetics, bioenergetics, life-history theory, population dynamics and evolutionary dynamics. Dr. Ernande has coordinated IFREMER’s national project STRADA on the ecology and evolution of exploited fish species from 2005 to 2008. He has been involved in 12 national and European research projects or networks. Dr. Ernande is chair of the ICES Working Group on Fisheries-Induced evolution (WGEVO) , member of the Scientific Committee of the Centre for the synthesis and analysis of biodiversity (CESAB, FRB, France), member of the Steering Committee of the French National Research Agency’s Scientific Challenge 1 (ANR, France), and Subject Editor of the scientific journal OIKOS
